As well as Speaking out at Every Opportunity presented to me Regarding the

Continued Persecution of the American Pit Bull Terrier Courtesy of Breed Specific

Legislation! and the falsehoods of Stereotyping any Species are Glaringly Obvious!!

Have we Not Traveled this Road enough in this Country ? This Prejudicial Compilation

of Hate Speak and Ignorance Known as BSL Must at the Very Least,Be Re-Written

to Truly reflect what this legislation was Originally Drafted as!! A Dangerous Dog

Ordnance that morphed into certain Death for many Pit Bulls that wind up needing a

Shelter to House them! Due to BSL,at many Shelters Once a Pit Bull is Identafied

as Being a Pit Bull or Pit Bull Mix,Its Over! Right then and there for that poor Dog

I am Bicycling from My Home in Paisley,Oregon! Clear across the Country to New York City

A journey of nearly 3,000 miles in Hopes of Gaining national Media attention to the Crisis

Currently unfolding Daily across this great land.

I have chosen New York City due Primarily to the fact that The Shelter System in New

York City is Run By The Department of Health which would answer only to Mayor Bloomberg

And is one of the worst examples of Mis-Management! and Ineffective leadership!

That This Advocate has ever heard of! or Read about since i began advocacy.

The Total Callous Disregard for the Lives of the innocent Displayed by the NYCACC

Is Directly Responsible for Maintaining the Status Quo for the New York city

Department of Animal Care and Control " Which Means the Killing will Continue

Until We Make Enough Noise to Get Washington to take Notice " So,That is My

Reasoning Behind Choosing New York City as My Destination this Spring "...

Besides the Fact,That New York City is Still the Media Capital of the United States!!

And I am looking to Raise Americas Awareness level !! So,New York is Perfect.

The Awareness i speak of has nothing to do with our Elected officials!

As Believe Me,They already know exactly what Goes on at Animal Shelters everywhere

Because Politicians and Lobbyists are Writing the Laws that are allowing for

For No Accountability or humanity to exist.  There needs to be Accountability

Required of every Shelter in the Country!! No Exceptions!! And All Shelters

that are Kill Shelters if forced to Euthanize Due to Critical or Terminal Conditions

Must use a Humane Method of Euthanasia!! as Heart Sticking and Gassing

Chambers would never be Used on a Human that has Committed Murder But

An Innocent,Loving Dog or Cat should never have to suffer so Severely as a Low

Life Murderer Deserves to suffer for His or her Crimes!! What Crime Have These

Precious creatures committed to be So Heartlessly Sentenced to death by Society's

Complacency? It is Time to Face the truth with open Eyes and determined minds And Fix

What so Desperately needs to be Fixed for Every Animal!in Every Shelter! in Every Single state. 

The Real Awakening needs to come from the voting populace! That is where the

Power to make this work will come from! So I am Going to Do My Very Best to

Talk to anyone that will listen ! From the time i Get on the Bicycle,Until the Hour

Of my arrival in New York city!! If i Stop for a Rest Room Break! or a Drink of

Water! or anywhere i happen to meet people,Grocery store,Laundry mat!! I Will

Do My Very best"to explain how to change the way this Broken and Archaic

System operates" as well as Ways in which to Fix what is wrong Everywhere.
